Renaming Pages

  • Misspelt page name?
  • Restructuring your pages?
  • Want to shorten the name for a better appearance on the menu?

To change the name of a page you edit the 'Page Header'. There are a couple of ways to get to the 'Edit the Page Header' screen:

  • When editing the content of a page there is (in some views) a button marked 'Edit Page Header'.
  • Click on the icon next to a page name in the page tree (not on the text of the name, but on the icon), then hold your mouse still until the little 'clickmenu' appears. One of the lower options on the clickmenu is 'Edit Page Header'.

Having got to the 'Edit Page Header' screen, simply type a different page name and save the page.

TIP: For reasons of accessibility compliance, every page on the site should have a different name, even if they are for similar purposes in different sections of the site. This is so that visitors who cannot see the layout of your site are not confused by links with the same name ending up on different pages.
